To help inform our view on a business, various reputed ESG ratings will be consolidated in every research report alongside the qualitative evaluation performed by analysts. Currenlty MSCI ESG rating of BBB and above is considered investment grade by MEIF.

Analysts recruited for this role have their primary functionality in the ESG Investing space, however, are sat within other sectors ranging from Financials to Consumer Staples. The ESG analyst’s objective, therefore, is to conduct comprehensive ESG assessments of the industry affiliated with the sector and appraise the selected company’s ESG ratings, risks, opportunities, and broader synergies. This foundation forms of the foundation of valuable critical analysis regarding investment viability and the potential for sustainable returns from an ESG perspective.
